Hi there! I’m Kim, nice to meet ya! Welcome to the place where I share my thoughts and experiences on parenting, relationships, and life in general and what I think God is telling us through it all. I’ve got three cute kids who keep me on my toes (Hi, Delilah, Ledger, and Maylee), a wonderful husband (Hey there, Jeremiah), and a fur baby. In my 27 years of living I’ve learned that life is messy. It basically never goes as planned, which can be really hard. But you want to know a secret? God has a plan for us and things to teach us through it all.
Writing keeps me sane. My mind works in blog posts, articles, essays, and lists. Half Crunch Mom was created because I needed a space to talk about real life. So what does “Half Crunch Mom” mean? Well have you ever heard the term “crunchy mom”? According to Urban Dictionary it means, “A member of an increasingly growing group of moms who are neo-hippies. They generally believe (for varying reasons) that there is something bad or less beneficial about buying mainstream products or doing other common activities in the mainstream way.” So basically, I’m kind of a hippie. I buy the expensive organic chicken at Wal-Mart, I try and make my kids eat kale, I made my own baby food, and I love the Farmers’ Market, but I also really like ramen noodles and my kids probably eat too many happy meals
So enjoy following our crazy life. I hope it brings you joy, comfort, or some kind of entertainment.
